RAMdrive ~~~~~~~~
This program may be used to create RAM-disks on Sprinter computer. RAM-disk is formatted as FAT12 (like MS-DOS floppy). One RAM-disk may occupy whole Sprinter memory. Minimal size of RAM-disk is 64Kb (and 47Kb available only). Number of records in root directory is 512. Number of RAM-disks is limited by free memory only. To create RAM-disk run program with one argument - size of RAM-disk in kilobytes:
ramdrv 1440
For DOS of the version 1.61 (and is higher), the program leaves back in DOS and to the created RAM-disk access at once is open. For DOS of the version 1.60 (and is lower), the program will wait 4 seconds and reboot the computer. If you press any key during that 4 seconds, program quit to DOS and user should be reboot computer manu- ally ("Reset" or "Ctrl+Alt+Del").
During working rogram write table with information about created disk:
Disk size: 1440kB full size of disk Available space: 1418kB available size of disk Directory entries: 512 number of records in root Sector size: 512 bytes number of bytes per sector Allocation unit: 1 sector number of sectors per cluster
The program uses envirenment variable "LASTDRV". Format of variable is "LASTDRV=X", where "X" - letter of last drive in system.
