On the connector X1, joystick, tape in and tape out, happens absolutly nothing.
Is it possible that X1 is defect or make I something wrong? I solder the wires like in the schematics.

I bought the Sprinter 2000 as used. There was no cable. I made an cable which goes from the PCB to the outside of Sprinter.
This is from the schematics for X1 internal:
1-T_out....2-GND
3-T_in......4-J_VCC
5-JK0.......6-JK1
7-JK2.......8-JK3
9-JK4.......10-GND
I take a connector with flatcabel from the internal connector and outside I have one connector for tape out and one for tape in. The rest from the cables I use for the joystick. This is a 9 pin sub-d connector. Soldered like this:
Normal..............Sprinter 2000
1 Forward..........JK2 - Down...7
2 Back...............JK3 - Up.......8
3 Left................JK1 - Left......6
4 Right..............JK0 - Right....5
5 NC
6 Fire.................JK4 - Fire.....9
7 +5V................J_VCC.........4
8 GND................GND..........10
9 NC

It depends on what version of BIOS you have - on old one it was some key to switch to ZX-menu (if I remember correctly), but on a new one you should have on floppy or hard-drive all set of files as ROM-images for all ZX-modes etc...-Micky wrote: Only working in ZX mode? How can I reach ZX mode? Starting spectrum.exe without parameters?
P.S. If you have spectrum.exe then it looks like new BIOS (3.00)
