Yes, it is. Which means the engine will need a rewrite for the Pentagon. Currently it works on 48K and 128K models with RAM contention.

Nothing to stop someone using ZXodus for a strategy game. The 3D part doesn't really run fast enough for real-time combat like ZXoom though. Personally I'm planning on using the engine to create a cRPG. Although I'm writing it in English, I'm planning to release it in Russian and Spanish first. I've got translators lined up, but I am going to need a hand converting the game from tape to TR-DOS at some point. The main issue will be converting the Rainbow processor, which currently "cheats" and uses the ULA contention to line up the attribute updates. On the Pentagon, exact counting will be required.

3D engines are nothing new, but I don't think anyone has ever done one using 8x1 attributes before.
