MS-DOS, CP/M-80 and TR-DOS disk formats are supported. 16.12.2002 PetersPlus published Estex Disk SubSystem 1.6? Release Candidate. The release notes contain a summary of the changes made to the Estex DSS base system since 1.55-Release. 15.11.2002  Demo version of the new arcade game, Thunder In The Deep (by Deviants) was published. One demonstration level of future interesting adventures. The game needs the real Sprinter computer with BIOS v3.
10.11.2002 PetersPlus published new improved bootable system diskette image. We recommend to download it if your Sprinter based on BIOS v3. 30.10.2002 New improved version of SPRINT (Sprinter emulator) is available from Shaos. 10.10.2002  JATetris? (by Shaos) was updated to v1.5.2. Now background is loading faster. Bugs are fixed. There are EXE-version and TRD-version in the archive. Source code in RW1 programming language is included. Author promises to publish RW1P2 v1.5 pack which was used for compilation of the game some later. Later it was released as Sprinter SDK.
08.10.2002  ZXF Magazine, Issue #2 was published. It contain a lot of interesting information for Spectrum fans. And we hope you will read the article, "Meet the Sprinter" also.
04.10.2002 PetersPlus published IF? utility v1.0 that is used for executing commands depending on a condition in BAT-files. 02.10.2002 Z88DK now supports the Sprinter computer (PPS). It's still an experiment but we hope it will be finished. 03.10.2002 PetersPlus published developer documentation for Estex DSS v1.55 in RTF format. It also includes latest version of function table of DSS v1.55. 25.09.2002 BIOS ? 3.00 functions list was published. 17.09.2002 Assembler Org-ASM? v0.21 was added. The new beta version has some bugfix and can create EXE files now. 16.09.2002 The first version of User Menu? tool was published by PetersPlus . 22.08.2002  A large Sprinter Review is available on Retroreview in Archive section. 16.08.2002 Three new animated images of Thunder (the main hero of Thunder in the Deep, by Deviant group) was added. Archive contain FLC files for showing these images on the Sprinter too. 14.08.2002  You can see a first screenshot of Thunder in the Deep now. Demo version of this game is not ready and will be published some later.
07.08.2002 PetersPlus published a small test program TIMER ?. This is the test of Sprinter computer speed during the work of some different CPU operations. This program needs the CMOS/RTC chip. 01.08.2002 LIBMAN ? v1.2 was added. Also LIBSHAOS collection was updated. 31.07.2002  His name is Thunder. He is a brave hero of a new arcade game, Thunder in the Deep by Deviant group. Demo-version of the game will be published next week.
24.07.2002 A LIBSHAOS collection which anyone can use with LIBMAN ? was published. This is a number of useful libraries, created by different authors and assembled by Shaos. The first issue of collection include two libraries only. 23.07.2002 A new assembler for Sprinter computer, Org-ASM? v0.16 was added. LIBMAN ? v1.1 by Shaos was added. This manager helps programmers to use dynamically-loaded libraries (DLLs) in user applications for the Sprinter computer. 22.07.2002  256color!? demo was updated. The demo has a new algorithm, therefore it start more quickly now. Check out it in the sources, which available too. Finally this demo works under SPRINT emulator now.
19.07.2002  FLAMES ? demo was updated. This mini demo is available with sources now.
18.07.2002 PetersPlus published a classic maze game SOKOBAN ?. This game was implemented on text screen using FORTH ? programming language and it includes 85 levels. 08.07.2002 New SDL version of SPRINT (multiplatform emulator of Sprinter computer) by Shaos is available. Now emulator work under Windows NT too, and it work with Sprinter original speed! You can check out it by executing sprint_fn.bat file and using a mouse for executing Sprinter programs. 04.07.2002 CamelForth? was updated. There are some new important words in the new version 4.01. Now it can create EXE files and work with files! 01.07.2002 PetersPlus published example of the EXE primary loader? with sources to demonstrate how to write programs as Flex Navigator?. Also PetersPlus published Sprinter CamelForth? v4.00 that is a full-featured modern ANS-compliant Forth. It was ported from the Z88 to the Sprinter by Garry Lancaster. Package contain some documentation on some of the additional features provided with Sprinter CamelForth, some utilities and demo of the multitasking facilities in CamelForth. 27.06.2002 PetersPlus published source code of routine that draws text on graphics screen 640x256 (16 colors) of Sprinter computer. 24.06.2002 Shaos published the program FRACTALS ? that is intended for construction so named Mandelbrot Set. More info you can read in the file of program description and you can check out screenshots on the forum. 22.06.2002  PetersPlus published an old demo Mortal Kombat? (1999). This program demonstrates a usage of sprites with accelerator support.
18.06.2002 New version of cross-compiler RW1P2 by Shaos is available. Now it support Sprinter's EXE file format. Archive contain sources of Just Another Tetris RW1? also. In the same day PetersPlus published example of Plugin for Flex Navigator with sources and help file. 11.06.2002 Shaos has published the new version of SPRINT (multiplatform emulator of Sprinter computer). Flex Navigator? works correctly now and you can execute some Sprinter programs by it! 07.06.2002 PetersPlus published Diz file Creator?. This utility create a DIZ file for current TRD file. DIZ file contain list of files from this image of TR-DOS disk. 31.05.2002  Just Another Tetris RW1? by Shaos was published. This is a first release of this game which not use all graphic features of Sprinter computer.
27.05.2002 PetersPlus published Small Oxford Dictionary?. This is a dictionary of English words with their meanings. 20.05.2002 PetersPlus published sources of simply text editor for Sprinter computer. This is example of programming in the 640x256 graphic mode. Most likely it was unfinished editor "ASCEdit" that was widely advertised last year. 08.05.2002  PetersPlus published image of Mainboard Sp2000 with description of chips and connectors.
07.05.2002 Flex Navigator? v1.10 was patched by author (Anton Enin). Now you can use different programs for executing files with TRD extension. Program works with ISA modem. 11.04.2002 PetersPlus published Sprinter Update #1 (SU-1) for Sprinter computers with mainboards Sp2000 (Sp2000-Light). It include new Sprinter BIOS ? v3.00.253; newer version of internal logic PLD; software for support new features of computer. And you can see new screenshots of Sprinter programs working in this emulator. 15.03.2002 PetersPlus published RAMDrive Creator? for creation a RAM-disk of 720K size. 13.03.2002  Vasil Ivanov ported MASM80? to Sprinter.
11.03.2002 Shaos has published the new version of SPRINT (Sprinter computer emulator). PetersPlus published FORTH ? v0.07 computer language for Sprinter computer. It included line editor and compiler. And it can create EXE programs for OS Estex. 05.03.2002 Magazine "Retro Review" published two Sprinter utilities. 04.03.2002 PetersPlus opened FORUM on their web-site to discuss any questions about Sprinter computer. 01.03.2002 Shaos began to create an emulator of Sprinter computer. It was called SPRINT. Today it is very simply emulator, but it's first version was written without real Sprinter computer! It included information about input and output parameters of all DSS functions. 25.01.2002 PetersPlus published EXE Prefix shower?. This program show EXE prefix created by DSS of OS Estex. 10.01.2002 PetersPlus said that text editor "ASCEdit" development is continuing.
